Founding story and business inspiration

I’m Giuliana Tomatis, the founder of G Sweets, a Burlington-based virtual bakery specializing in baked goods made from unrefined flours and sugars. We focus on creating unique treats that enhance the flavors of our ingredients, with a mindset of conscious ingredient sourcing and environmentally friendly packaging. Our bakery delivers delicious cakes and treats in Burlington and all around the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).

I've always wanted to open my own cafe and pastry shop, and when the pandemic hit, I noticed many people starting home-based businesses. I took it as an opportunity to begin my pilot project, G Sweets, which I hope will one day become my cafe.

Challenges and obstacles before FormPay
